Xerox Canada Looking to Create Inside Sales Jobs in Nova Scotia

The province is working with Xerox Canada to create jobs at the company's Dartmouth location, which will support future client contracts as they are developed across North America.
The province is making a $4.4-million payroll rebate available to the company as it looks to hire candidates with post-secondary educations or sales experience. New hires will receive valuable communication and sales skills training from Xerox Canada.
"As planned under jobsHere, the province is working with many companies like Xerox Canada to create private-sector jobs," said Percy Paris, Minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism. "Today is an example of the right kind of growth for Nova Scotia."
Under this five-year, performance-based rebate, made available by Nova Scotia Business Inc. (NSBI), payments only occur after job growth. For every dollar an authorized employer spends in salary in Nova Scotia, NSBI rebates five to 10 cents.
In 2001, Xerox Canada opened its sales centre in Dartmouth. The company currently employs about 220 Nova Scotians in a variety of roles at this centre, including inside sales and customer service.
"We are seeing more and more global companies conducting international business from Nova Scotia, resulting in additional investment and growth here on the ground," said Stephen Lund, president and CEO of NSBI. "Xerox Canada first set up shop in Nova Scotia 11 years ago, and is choosing to create additional growth here again."
