Energy Minister Charlie Parker supports today's decision of the Utility and Review Board that calls for Nova Scotia Power to release information from a report by UARB consultant Liberty Consulting.

"Making these types of decisions is one of the things the board is designed to do," said Mr. Parker. "The board's job is to consider all the facts and ensure that all pertinent and appropriate information pertaining to a public utility is freely available to all. We have confidence in the board and its ability to do this.

"Ratepayers have a right to see this information and we need the full picture to ensure Nova Scotians are paying the lowest, fairest rates."
