Deadline Approaching for Online Report Card Survey

Education and Early Childhood Development

The province is inviting parents, students, teachers and principals to complete an online survey by Friday, April 11, to help develop improved plain-language report cards.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking input on what is working well and areas that need improvement with provincial report cards.

"This is an opportunity for all Nova Scotians to share ideas on how we can better meet the needs of students and their families," said Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Karen Casey.

"We need to ensure that they are receiving constructive feedback that helps students know where they are in their learning, and how they can do better."

The committee will use the survey to help provide clear information to students and their families, and to support teachers to maximize the learning and achievement of all students.

The committee is expected to report to the minister April 30.
