Two provincial parks are not open for camping. The campgrounds at
Wentworth Provincial Park in Cumberland County and Salt Springs
Provincial Park in Pictou County are closed. The Department of

2003 camping season with a new operator. MacDonald Property
Management of Halifax Regional Municipality has been contracted
to operate the park.

Special licence plates recognizing species at risk are now

As of Tuesday, April 1, burning permits are required in the
counties of Queens, Shelburne, Yarmouth, Digby, Annapolis, Kings
and Lunenburg. Permits are required in all other counties
beginning April 15. Fire season continues through to Oct. 15.
