A father and son from Kings County have been chosen as the 2000
Woodlot Owner of the Year. Bill and Tom Skinner from South
Berwick were selected from among six regional winners by a
three-member judging committee from the Department of Natural

The province's new forestry regulations, which will have a
positive impact on the long-term sustainability of Nova Scotia's
forests, are the big news in forestry these days. On April 12,
Natural Resources Minister Ernest Fage announced that the Forest
Sustainability Regulations are now law in Nova Scotia.
