Charlene Burton says going back to school proved an educational
experience in more ways than one. Charlene is one of 10 adult
learners graduating today, June 14, in Sydney with the Nova
Scotia High School Graduation Diploma for Adults. The graduates
have just completed programs supported by the Nova Scotia School
for Adult Learning at the Marconi Campus of the Nova Scotia
Community College (NSCC).

Hants West County students in grades 7 to 9 are getting an
improved school. Deputy Premier Ron Russell made the announcement
today, June 7, on behalf of Education Minister Angus MacIsaac in
Brooklyn at a ceremony marking the conversion of Hants West Rural
High School to a middle school in September 2003.
