What is the Premier's Award of Excellence?

The Premier's Award of Excellence is the most prestigious award a Government of Nova Scotia employee or team can receive.

Awards are given out in recognition of achievements that support the government's priorities in areas such as:

  • Management/Career Excellence
  • Innovation and Creativity
  • Client Service Delivery
  • Relationship Building/Partnership
  • Healthy Workplace

This highest form of honour recognizes outstanding on-the-job contributions of employees and teams of employees. To receive it is to know that your work made a difference to the people of Nova Scotia - an achievement of which you can be proud for a lifetime.

You will be personally thanked and celebrated at an invitation-only reception. Along with your award and framed certificate, your achievement will be posted on the website as inspiration to all.
