Special Move Permits
A Special Move Permit is required to move a vehicle which is outside the legal weight or dimension limits, on a public road in Nova Scotia.
What's New
Vehicles of a configuration not represented in Schedule A of the Nova Scotia Weights and Dimensions of Vehicles Regulations are not eligible for self-issue special move permits and must send applications to the SMP office for individual review. This includes any vehicle fitted with a jeep converter dolly, booster axle or tag axle.
