Joanne Munro is the Chief Executive Officer of Service Nova Scotia where she leads a team of over 700 to provide higher levels of service to Nova Scotians, reduce red tape and modernize legislation. She also sits on the 211 Board of Directors.
Joanne joined Service Nova Scotia in July 2014 after more than 20 years in private sector management where she led large teams in the retail banking sector. Through her career in the financial services industry in Toronto, Joanne gained extensive experience in strategic planning and execution, sales management, human resource and general operations management. With a passion for customer experience and service excellence, Joanne is a results-oriented leader with a collaborative style and a focus on coaching and mentoring.
Joanne holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario.
Joanne was born and raised in Chester, NS.
