Description of Organization:
CCUA works on behalf of its members in four key areas:
- Advocacy and Government Relations to ensure national public policy recognizes the distinctiveness and strength of credit unions and caisses populaires;
- National Regulatory and Network Compliance, which includes a focus on payments network compliance;
- Professional Development and Education of credit union employees and board members;
- National Awareness Building, which focuses on promoting the value and importance of Canada's credit unions and caisses populaires in local communities and to the Canadian economy.

Description of Membership:
The Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) is the national credit union trade association, representing Canada’s credit unions, caisses populaires (outside of Quebec), and regional credit union Central organizations. CCUA is distinct in its commitment to co-operative values, and is the first, national credit union governed organization in Canada.
