Description of Employer's Business:
M&NP is a natural gas pipeline transmission system based in Halifax, NS. Our system consists of over 1300 km of pipe originating in Goldboro, NS and running through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. We transport Scotian Shelf natural gas to markets in the Maritime provinces and New England. We are regulated by the National Energy Board (Canada) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (US).

Description
As we have invested significantly in the region, our lobbying activity focuses on the optimal development of the Scotian Shelf and other east coast supply basins as well as local and export markets. Energy legislation dealing with pipelines and storage directly impacts M&NP. Legislation that impacts oil and gas exploration /production is also of interest to M&NP as it may potentially influence our business.   View
