Description of Organization:
The Alliance of Nova Scotia Student Associations (ANSSA) was formed in 2003 by the members of the Acadia Students’ Union, Dalhousie Student Union, St. Francis Xavier Students’ Union, and St. Mary’s University Students’ Association. With a head office located in downtown Halifax, ANSSA focuses on lobbying the provincial government on an array of student issues.
ANSSA’s vision is to be the leading provincial advocate for post-secondary education issues on behalf of the students of the province of Nova Scotia. It strives to ensure that the province’s post-secondary education system is built upon the principles of accessibility, affordability, innovation, mobility and quality and that these are achieved by the government of the day in a way that is transparent, and is inclusive of all stakeholders.

ANSSA represents the Dalhousie Student Union, St. Mary's University Students' Association, St. Francis Xavier Students' Union, and Acadia Students' Union.
