Building Permit (Temporary Structures)

Who Needs This Permit?
Anyone who wishes to put a building temporarily in the Town of Bridgewater for the purpose of working on construction, etc.

Application Forms & Process:
Applicants must provide plans and specifications for details, complete a Building Permit application, and submit the appropriate fees.  Applicants are notified in writing or by phone when the permit is approved.
Waiting Period:
Usually within 10 business days after the date of application.
Expiry & Renewal:
It can be extended by written permission of the Building Officer.
Price & Payment:
0.21% of the estimated value of the proposed building or $10.00 whichever is the greater.
Related Requirements:
You must have a Development Permit approved and issued by the Town of Bridgewater (Development Officer) before this permit can be issued.
