Nova Scotia Student Aid Appeal Committee Regulations made under Section 15 of the
Student Aid Act

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education dated the 15th day of December, 1976, pursuant to Section 15(c) of Chapter 11 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1972, the Nova Scotia Student Aid Act [R.S.N.S. 1989, Chapter 449, the Student Aid Act], is pleased to order:
1 The Minister may appoint a Nova Scotia Student Aid Appeal Committee composed of not more than six voting members for such term or terms as he deems appropriate and may appoint one of such persons to be the Chairman of the Committee;
Section 1 amended: O.I.C. 90-815, N.S. Reg. 172/90.2 The Chairman of the Nova Scotia Student Aid Appeal Committee shall be paid the sum of $100.00 per day for each day the Chairman is engaged in the activities of the Committee, and all members of the Committee shall be reimbursed for expenses necessarily incurred by them in performing the duties of members;
3 The Nova Scotia Student Aid Appeal Committee shall receive appeals from students who are dissatisfied with an award made with respect to their application for Student Aid and recommend to the Minister that the award be confirmed, increased or decreased.
