Sporting Lake Nature Reserve Ecological Site Designation
made under subsections 14(1), (2), (3) and (4) of the
Special Places Protection Act

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education dated the 10th day of May, A.D., 1990, pursuant to subsections (1), (2), (3) and (4) of Section 14 of Chapter 438 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Special Places Protection Act, is pleased, effective the 4th day of June, A.D., 1990, to designate as an ecological site the land described in Schedule “A” and shown on a plan attached as Schedule “B” which ecological site shall be managed in accordance with the Management Plan attached as Schedule “C”, all said Schedules being attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, which shall be known as the Sporting Lake Nature Reserve.
Schedule “A”
Sporting Lake Nature Reserve
All those certain lots, pieces, or parcels of land situate, lying and being at Sporting Lake, County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia, being more particularly described as follows and shown outlined in bold line on Schedule “B” attached hereto. Said Schedule “B” being a Plan (Field Plot No. P-115/88) filed in the Department of Lands and Forests Office, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Said Sporting Lake Nature Reserve consists of three islands situate in Sporting Lake being marked on said plan as # 1, # 2, and # 3.
The area of the three islands contains a total of 61 acres more or less.
