Schedule “A”—List of Claims


 

Order in Council 93-741


The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated the 15th day of July, 1993, pursuant to clauses (a) and (b) of subsection (1) of Section 8A of Chapter 18 of the Acts of Nova Scotia 1990, the Mineral Resources Act, is pleased to

 

                   (a)      designate as a geothermal resource area that area of Pictou County, Nova Scotia, more particularly described in Schedules “A” and “B” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, and which area shall be referred to as the Pictou County Geothermal Resource Area;

 

                   (b)     determine that the designation of the Pictou County Geothermal Resource Area shall be effective on, from and after the 3rd day of September, 1993;

 

                   (c)      direct that a copy of this Order be published in the Royal Gazette and two other local newspapers which are circulated in the Pictou County area of Nova Scotia; and

 

                   (d)     determine that the Mineral Resources Act shall apply to the Pictou County Geothermal Resource Area, saving, excepting those portions of the Mineral Resources Act, more particularly described in Schedule “C” attached to and forming part of the said report and recommendation.
