Advisory Board Composition Regulations

made under Section 23 of the

Public Archives Act

S.N.S. 1998, c. 24

Citation

1     These regulations may be cited as the Advisory Board Composition Regulations.


Board composition

2     The Board must consist of up to 8 members, as follows:

 

                (a)    up to 4 members appointed from among individuals recommended by archival, heritage, information management or family history organizations in the Province; and

 

                (b)    up to 4 members appointed from the public at large, including the academic, library, cultural and general research communities.


Term and reappointment of Board members

3     (1)    The term of office of each member of the Board is 3 years and, subject to subsection (2), a Board member may be reappointed.

 

       (2)    A Board member who has served 2 consecutive terms is not eligible for reappointment until 2 years after the date their most recent term ended.
