Anthony Provincial Park Designation
made under Section 8 of the
Provincial Parks Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367
O.I.C. 74-1379 (December 19, 1974), N.S. Reg. 121/74
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 27th day of November, A.D., 1974, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to
(a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water, owned by Her Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia and situate at or near Lower Selma, in the County of Hants, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, said area of land being included within the boundaries of the lands described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined on the Plan of Survey marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and
(b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “Anthony Provincial Park”.

Anthony Provincial Park
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at or near Lower Selmah, County of Hants, Province of Nova Scotia as the same is shown on Plan E-5-29, recorded in the Crown Land Registry office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a Crown Land Iron Post (C.L.I.P.) situate on the north boundary of Highway No. 15 and the most easterly corner of lands now or formerly owned by Captain Wassen;
Thence north sixteen degrees twenty-three minutes west (N 16° 23' W) along the eastern boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Captain Wassen distant three decimal fifty-four (3.54) chains to a C.L.I.P.;
Thence south fifty-four degrees fifty-one minutes west (S 54° 51' W) along the northern boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Captain Wassen distant one decimal forty-eight (1.48) chains to a C.L.I.P.;
Thence south twelve degrees forty-nine minutes west (S 12° 49' W) along the western boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Captain Wassen distant one decimal nine (1.9) chains to a C.L.I.P. set on the northern boundary of said Highway No. 15;
Thence westerly along the northern boundary of said Highway No. 15 to a C.L.I.P. set on the most easterly corner of lands now or formerly owned by Russell Hill, said C.L.I.P. being north eighty degrees seventeen minutes west (N 80° 17' W) distant five decimal eight two nine (5.829) chains from the immediate above described C.L.I.P.;
Thence north six degrees thirty-six minutes west (N 6° 36' W) along the eastern boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Russell Hill distant twelve decimal twenty-six (12.26) chains to a C.L.I.P.;
Thence north six degrees thirty-six minutes west (N 6° 36' W) along the eastern boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Russell Hill to the mean high water mark of Cobequid Bay;
Thence easterly along the mean high water mark of said Cobequid Bay distant nineteen (19) chains more or less to a brook marking the western boundary of lands now or formerly owned by Phillip Miller;
Thence southerly along the said brook marking the western boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Phillip Miller distant six (6) chains more or less;
Thence south forty-one degrees forty minutes west (S 41° 40' W) along the western boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Phillip Miller distant six decimal forty-seven (6.47) chains to a C.L.I.P.,
Thence southerly along the said brook marking the western boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Phillip Miller to a C.L.I.P. set on the northern boundary of said Highway No. 15, said C.L.I.P. being south twenty-one degrees fifty-one decimal one minute west (S 21° 51.1' W) distant two decimal zero seventy-seven (2.077) chains from the immediate above described C.L.I.P.;
Thence north seventy-six degrees twenty decimal four minutes west (N 76° 20.4' W) along the northern boundary of said Highway No. 15 distant four decimal four four six (4.446) chains to the place of beginning.
The above bearings are astronomic.
The above described land containing an area of eighteen decimal twenty-five (18.25) acres more or less.
