Dalem Lake Provincial Park Designation
made under Section 8 of the
Provincial Parks Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367
O.I.C. 77-82 (January 25, 1977), N.S. Reg. 185/77
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 26th day of November, A.D., 1976, pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:
(a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, situate at or near Dalem Lake, in the County of Victoria, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, said area of land and land covered by water, being described in Schedule “A” and shown on Schedule “B”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and
(b) declare that the name of the park shall be known as “Dalem Lake Provincial Park”.
Schedule “A”
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Dalem Lake, in the County of Victoria, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown on Plan No. E-5-69, filed in the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Crown Land Iron Post No. V2208 situate on the southeastern boundary of an old road;
From thence (by grid bearings derived from Control Survey Monument N.S.C. 2224 and N.S.C. 2225 based on the Nova Scotia co-ordinate System, 3° Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central Meridian 61° 30' West Longitude) S 42° 07' 19" W following the said southeastern boundary of an old road and a stone wall and fence, 1827.56' more or less to a point situate on the northern boundary of the Trans Canada Highway;
Thence westerly following the said northern boundary of the Trans Canada Highway, 2490' more or less to a point situate on the northeastern boundary of a lot of land granted to John Patterson under Grant No. 7935, said point situate N 48° 42' 40"W, 230' more or less from Crown Land Iron Post No. V2205;
Thence N 48° 42' 40" W following the said northeastern boundary of Grant No. 7935, 1177' more or less to Crown Land Iron Post No. V2206;
Thence N 42° 45' 45" E, 3439.94' to a Crown Land Iron Post No. V2207;
Thence S 48° 00' 24" E, 2734.01' to the place of beginning: the said area containing 182 acres more or less.
