The Islands Provincial Park Designation
made under Section 8 of the
Provincial Parks Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367
O.I.C. 72-416 (April 25, 1972), N.S. Reg. 124/72
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 21st day of April, A.D., 1972, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:
(a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia and situate at Shelburne in the County of Shelburne, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a provincial park, said area of land being included within the boundaries of the lands described in Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, and shown outlined on the Plan of Survey marked Schedule “B”, also attached to the report and recommendation; and
(b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “The Islands Provincial Park”.

The Islands Provincial Park
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate lying and being at or near the Town of Shelburne, County of Shelburne, Province of Nova Scotia, and shown on plan number E-5-14 recorded in the Crown Land Records office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Crown Land wooden post number 594 situated near the mean high water line of Shelburne Harbour;
Thence (by Magnetic bearings 1959) north seventy-nine degrees ten minutes east, nine hundred decimal zero feet to a point on the waters of Shelburne Harbour;
Thence south seventy-eight degrees fifty minutes east, nine hundred thirty-five decimal zero feet to a point on the waters of Shelburne Harbour;
Thence south nine degrees fifty-nine minutes west, three thousand one hundred twenty-six decimal eighty-two feet to a point on the waters of Shelburne Harbour;
Thence north eighty-six degrees fifty-six minutes west, seven hundred decimal zero feet to a point on the waters of Shelburne Harbour;
Thence north eleven degrees twenty-one minutes west, one thousand seven hundred fifty decimal zero feet to a point on the waters of Shelburne Harbour;
Thence north eighty-nine degrees eleven minutes west, seven hundred decimal zero feet to Crown Land wooden post number 595;
Thence continuing north eighty-nine degrees eleven minutes west, one hundred twenty-four decimal fifty-four feet to a point on the easterly boundary of the Canadian National Railway right-of-way;
Thence northerly along the easterly boundary of the Canadian National Railway right-of-way to a point being on a bearing north twenty-one degrees nineteen minutes east, one thousand four hundred twenty-five decimal zero feet from the last described point;
Thence south eighty-nine degrees twenty minutes east, ninety decimal forty-two feet to the place of beginning containing fifty-three acres more or less not including any land covered by salt water;
Excepting and reserving any grants of easement or right-of-way for public utilities or any other grants of right-of-way.
