Pondville Beach Provincial Park Designation
made under Section 8 of the
Provincial Parks Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367
O.I.C. 84-290 (March 13, 1984), N.S. Reg. 54/84
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 22nd day of February, A.D., 1984, pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to
(a) constitute all that area of land situate at Pondville Beach, in the County of Richmond, owned by Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Plan No. E-13-45 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and
(b) declare that the park shall be known by the name of “Pondville Beach Provincial Park”.
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Pondville Beach, Richmond County, Province of Nova Scotia, shown on Plan No. E-13-45 on file in the Crown Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Survey Marker No. R3554 set in concrete and situated on the ordinary high water mark of a tidal pond, said Survey Marker being S 14° 11' 41" E, 1969.81 feet from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument No. 2672;
From thence (by grid bearings based on the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, zone 4, central meridian 61° 30' longitude west) N 79° 44' 49" E, 157.23 feet to Survey Marker No. R3553 set in concrete;
Thence continuing N 79° 44' 49" E, 50 feet more or less to the ordinary high water mark of the Bay of Rocks;
Thence northeasterly following the various courses of the ordinary high water mark of the Bay of Rocks, 570 feet more or less to the westerly edge of a wharf;
Thence northwesterly following the westerly edge of the said wharf to the landward end thereof and then continuing to follow the ordinary high water mark of the aforementioned tidal pond a total distance of 190 feet more or less to Survey Marker No. R3570, said Survey Marker being S 37° 12' 11" E, 1621.35 feet from aforementioned Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument No. 2672;
Thence southwesterly following the various courses of the ordinary high water mark of the said tidal pond 900 feet more or less to the place of beginning being S 38° 48' 54" W, 793.53 feet from the last described Survey Marker No. R3570;
The above described area contains 2.50 acres more or less.
