Heritage Property Act Forms Regulations made under clause 26(1)(b) of the
Heritage Property Act

Schedule "A" Form 1 - Notice of Recommendation to Register as a
Provincial Heritage PropertyYou are hereby notified that:
1. The land and building located at (address, location, legal description or other identification of property) has been recommended for registration in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property. This proposed registration should be regarded as an indication that this particular property is of special value to the Province.
2. The reasons for this proposed registration are: (age of property; architectural significance; association with persons, places and events of historical significance; status as important landmark; or other consideration).
3. [Sub]section 7(4) of the Heritage Property Act prohibits demolition or any substantial alteration of the exterior appearance of a property described herein for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days from the date of service of this notice, unless within that time the Minister refuses to register the property.
4. The effect of registration in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property is that no demolition or substantial alteration in exterior appearance of the property may be undertaken from the date of registration without the approval of the Governor in Council.
5. A decision with respect to registration of the property in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property will not take place until 30 days after service of this notice in order to allow adequate time for interested persons to make representation to the Minister with respect to the proposed registration. You are invited to forward any comments you might wish to make in this matter during that time to me at Post Office Box 216, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 2M4.

Schedule "B" Form 2 - Notice of Registration of Property as a Provincial Heritage Property To:
You are hereby notified that:
1. The land and building located at (address, location, legal description or other identification of property) has been registered in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property by the Minister under the Heritage Property Act on ______________, 19___.
2. The effect of registration in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property is that no demolition or substantial alteration in exterior appearance of the property may be undertaken from the date of registration without the approval of the Governor in Council.

Schedule "C" Form 3 - Notice of Refusal to Register as a Provincial Heritage Property TO:
You are hereby notified that:
1. The land and building located at (address, location, legal description or other identification of property) has been refused registration at this time in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property by the Minister on ________________, 19___.
2. The effect of refusal to register in the Provincial Registry of Heritage Property is that [sub]section 7(4) of the Heritage Property Act no longer applies to the property and it may now be altered without reference to the Minister.
