About Post-Secondary Disability Services
To ensure that all academically qualified Nova Scotians with permanent disabilities have equity of access to quality post-secondary education, tools and training.
Post-Secondary Disability Services provides post-secondary students with services and supports through grants. A student must apply first to see if they are eligible for these grants.
Definition of Permanent disability: "functional limitation caused by a physical or mental impairment that restricts the ability of a person to perform the daily activities necessary to participate in studies at a post-secondary school level or the labour force and is expected to remain with the person for the person’s expected life."
Post-Secondary Disability Services would like to thank the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), department of Government of Canada for their continued support through the Labour Market Agreement for Persons with Disabilities Program. In addition, we would like to thank Nova Scotia Student Assistance for continuing to bring consistent support to all students who want to continue their life-long learning.
