Interim Accessibility Guidelines for Indoor and Outdoor Spaces
The interim accessibility guidelines will be replaced by a provincial accessibility standard for the built environment, which is now being developed. These guidelines aren’t mandatory, but they can help public sector bodies begin their accessibility planning and be better prepared to meet the standard when it’s enacted.
Businesses and community organizations can also use the guidelines to make their indoor and outdoor spaces more accessible for all Nova Scotians.
