The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated June 19, 2014, and pursuant to Sections 3 and 5 of Chapter 238 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Court Act, and Section 5 of Chapter 159 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Family Court Act, is pleased, effective on and after July 29, 2014, to appoint Daniel MacRury, Q.C., of Sydney, Cape Breton County, Nova Scotia, a barrister of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia of at least five years standing, to be a Judge of the Provincial Court and the Family Court for the Judicial District of the Province of Nova Scotia.
