The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated February 2, 2024, and pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter 238 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Court Act, Section 5 of Chapter 159 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Family Court Act, and Section 19 of Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Interpretation Act, is pleased to appoint and designate Judge Shane Russell and Judge Ronda van der Hoek as Associate Chief Judges of the Provincial and Family Courts, each for a term of office of three (3) years effective February 22, 2024.
