The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour, Skills and Immigration dated August 1, 2024, and pursuant to Section 151 of Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act, is pleased to:
(a) reappoint Janet Hazelton of Truro, Colchester County, and Blair Richards of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as worker representative members of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of two (2) years commencing September 5, 2024;
(b) appoint Jenna Brookfield of Halifax Regional Municipality (Beechville), and Tim McInnis of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as worker representative members of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of four (4) years commencing September 5, 2024;
(c) order that Janet Hazelton, Blair Richards, Jenna Brookfield, and Tim McInnis be remunerated for their service as members of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, in the amount of $300 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred by them in fulfilling their duties as members, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service; and
(d) order that Janet Hazelton, Blair Richards, Jenna Brookfield, and Tim McInnis receive an annual honorarium of $2000 when chairing board committees to be paid on a pro rata basis.
