The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs dated April 4, 2025, and pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter 250 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Land Titles Clarification Act, is pleased, effective on and after May 6, 2025, to:
(a) revoke the designations of areas in Cherry Brook/Lake Loon, East Preston and New Road Settlement (North Preston), in the Halifax Regional Municipality as Land Titles Clarification Areas;
(b) revoke the designations of areas in Lincolnville and Sunnyville, in the Municipality of the District of Guysborough as Land Titles Clarification Areas;
(c) designate as a Land Titles Clarification Area the community of Cherry Brook/Lake Loon, in the Halifax Regional Municipality, as shown on the map titled Appendix A-1, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation;
(d) designate as a Land Titles Clarification Area the community of East Preston, in the Halifax Regional Municipality, as shown on the map titled Appendix A-2, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation;
(e) designate as a Land Titles Clarification Area the community of North Preston, in the Halifax Regional Municipality, as shown on the map titled Appendix A-3, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation;
(f) designate as a Land Titles Clarification Area the community of Lincolnville, in the Municipality of the District of Guysborough, as shown on the map titled Appendix A-4, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; and
(g) designate as a Land Titles Clarification Area the community of Sunnyville, in the Municipality of the District of Guysborough, as shown on the map titled Appendix A-5, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
