The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated August 28, 2025, and pursuant to Section 84 of Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, and Section 10 of Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, is pleased, effective September 8, 2025, to:

           (a)    appoint Suzanne Ley as Associate Deputy Minister of Natural Resources;

           (b)    designate Suzanne Ley as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act;

           (c)    fix and determine the salary of Suzanne Ley to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; and

           (d)    direct that Suzanne Ley shall receive benefits associated with the position of Associate Deputy Minister as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
