The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Energy dated June 16, 2026, and pursuant to Section 7 of Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act and Section 19 of Chapter 8 of the Acts of 1992, the Nova Scotia Power Privatization Act, is pleased to approve the expropriation by Nova Scotia Power Incorporated, of an easement near Hansford, Cumberland County, being more particularly described in Schedule “A” and shown on the plan attached as Schedule “B”, and the rights of which easement are substantially in the form as set out in Schedule “C”, which Schedules are attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, the expropriation being necessary and useful for the purposes of establishing transmission assets for an additional intertie with the transmission system in New Brunswick.
