The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated February 1, 1996, pursuant to clause 20(1)(b) of Chapter 238 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Provincial Court Act, and to regulations made by Order in Council 83-1337 dated November 15, 1983, pursuant to Section 20 of the Provincial Court Act, is pleased to: (a) confirm the leave of absence without pay to the Honourable Judge Sandra E. Oxner, which has been approved by the Honourable Chief Judge Elmer MacDonald, for a period not exceeding one year to act as a Judicial Reform Consultant for the World Bank; (b) determine that during her leave of absence, the Honourable Judge Sandra E. Oxner be deemed to be in the public service of Nova Scotia for the purposes of the Provincial Court Act, the Public Service Superannuation Act, the Province of Nova Scotia Group Assurance Plan, the Province of Nova Scotia Consolidated Health Plan and the Province of Nova Scotia Long-Term Disability Plan, provided that the Honourable Judge Sandra E. Oxner makes suitable arrangements with the Department of Finance for the payment of the premiums during the period of her leave; (c) determine that the Honourable Judge Sandra E. Oxner be deemed to be in office for the purpose of the use of the style and title of a Provincial Court Judge for her work in judicial reform and her future work in judicial education; and (d) determine that this order shall be effective on and from February 26, 1996.
