Jack Langille ("black man, free"), an indentured servant, petitions for land along with his white friend, Christopher Wagner. Langille was born in Canso and brought to Petite Riviere by John Jodrie. At the time of the petition, Langille was 38 years old and asking for land at the then new settlement of New Italy (Italy Cross), Lunenburg County.
