Copy. S. Bernard to the Speaker. Has sent copy of his (Uniacke's) last letter, explaining desires of N.S. government, to Lord Glenhervie (vice-pres. of Committee of Trade). Encloses copy of Glenhervie's answer. The war interferes with any action Govt. might otherwise take towards revising colonial system. If he continues to do nothing to earn it, Bernard will not accept salary as Agent. Enclosure: Copy of Lord Glenhervie's letter to Bernard, approving but postponing consideration of Uniacke's suggestions.
