Speech of Lieutenant Governor Sir George Prevost on opening legislature. Measures that His Majesty has taken to defend province against possible attack; he hopes that legislature will reciprocate by revising militia laws. Although accustomed only to military command, he will seek to perform his civil duties with strict justice and equity. Signed.
