Therefore if it is in your power to do anything to assist me by persuading the Indians to relinquish about one hundred acres and take it in another place adjoining or elsewhere on the River, which they can do without any detriment to themselves, and will be remembered with heartfelt gratitude by

I have not yet received W. Freeman's Report and Plans of the Indian Reserve at Brookfield -- when I do I will certainly be disposed to give a fair consideration to your claim.
