Clara Caie

Clara Caie was the granddaughter of the prominent ship owner Samuel Killam and used her wealth to help the community that she loved dearly. Clara, along with Samuel's daughters Sophia and Clara, were responsible for a variety of projects that enhanced Yarmouth, including; Coronation Park, Milton Library, the clock atop the new Milton #2 Engine House, land and financial support Yarmouth hospital, financial support for Holy Trinity Anglican Church and enrichment activities for Greenville school, just to name a few. Clara was also a strong advocate for women's rights and very active in several local and national women's organization. She truly made Yarmouth better with her generosity.
