My Dear Sir
Your letter by Mr. Gaulier is in every
respect all I could wish for - He talks of this
Country with great Delight - & speaks of
the Farms of the Bartons very favorably
The News Papers give disastrous
accounts - but they are French - yet I believe
we have had great Loss - we must wait for further
words from better authority - The July Paquet
has not arrived therefore I have heard nothing
from Dick later than 1 one June.
I shall be obliged to you to send
as the Sate of the Burtons Accounts - it is long
since any Settlement has been made
The Price on the Meeting with the
Admiral received good his letters with much pleasure
Mr Barton will relate all the particulars. -
