This indenture made the twenty second day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen between the Honorable House of Jeffery of Halifax in the County of Halifax in the Province of Nova Scotia Esquire of the one part, and Tobie Maxfield, Aaron Hamilton, Sambo [sp?] Hamilton, William Hamilton, John Hamilton, Samuel Hamilton, Jack Hamilton, James Hamilton, Harry Hamilton and July [sp?] Hamilton all of Halifax aforesaid in the County and Province of aforesaid Labourers of the other part Witnefseth [sp?] that for and in for consideration of the sum of [word?] shillings of lawful money of the Province aforesaid to the said Thomas N Jeffery in hand paid by the said Tobie Maxfield, Aaron Hamilton, Sambo [?] Hamilton, William Hamilton, John Hamilton, Samuel Hamilton, Jack Hamilton, James Hamilton, Harry Hamilton and July [sp?] Hamilton severally and respectively upon or immediately before the [illegible] and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged [word?] the said Thomas N Jeffery hath granted, bargained, sold, [illegible], [illegible], and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant bargain sell, [word?], [word?], and confirm unto the said Tobie Maxfield, Aaron Hamilton, Sambo [sp?] Hamilton, William Hamilton, John Hamilton, Samuel Hamilton, Jack Hamilton, James Hamilton, Harry Hamilton and July [sp?] Hamilton respectively and to their respective heirs and afsigns [word?] forever the following lots and parcels of land in manner following that is to say; unto the said Tobie Maxfield the lot numbers One, unto the said Aaron Hamilton the lot number Two, unto the said Sambo [?] Hamilton the lot number Three, unto the said William Hamilton the lot number Four, unto the said John Hamilton the lot number Five, onto the said Samuel Hamilton the lot number Six, onto the said Jack Hamilton the lot number Seven, onto the said James Hamilton the lot number Eight, onto the said Harry Hamilton the lot number Nine, onto the said July Hamilton the lot number Ten, which said ten lots of law [word?] are part and parcel of a tract of land lately granted to the said Thomas N Jeffery on the road leading from Fletchers Bridge to Fruro [sp?], and contain each about six acres of land and measure each in length four acres [word?] and in breadth
