And at all times during the space of Seven years from the date hereof enter into and upon that part of the Land above mentioned to be granted to the said Thomas N Jeffery which is situate on the Eastside of the said Road aforesaid and adjoins the Lots herein before conveyed, and is contained in the same grant therewith, and there cut down take and carry away as much Wood Trees and Timber as such Grantee at any time during the said Term of Seven Years shall stand in need of or require for building Huts, Houses or other Buildings on the Lot to him above respectively granted or for Fuel to be consumed thereon, but not for the purposes of Sale, or transporting the same from off of the said Land...
In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto their hands and seals subscribed and set the day and year first above written...

We are of opinion the within agreement for the Location and settlement of the Refugee Negroes therein Named, being concluded upon at their own desires to their content; is a sufficient justification to His Excellency The Lieutenant Governor, to cause to be issued to them this months provisions in the first instance, and to continue to issue to [illegible] quarterly, the allowance authorised by Government for their supports, to each family, so long as they continue to occupy and improve the respective Lots of Land herein conveyed to them -
