day of July yearly and every year during the said term unto the said John Bazalgette his Heirs Executors, Administrators and Assigns the sum of one shilling lawful money of Nova Scotia if lawfully demanded, in consideration whereof the said John Francklin (sp) doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said John Bazalgette his Heirs Executors, Administrators and Assigns, in manner and form following that is to say that he the said John Franklin yearly and every year during the said term hereby demised will well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Bazalgette his Heirs Executors, Administrators or Assigns the said rent above reserved at the days and times, and in the manner and form above expressed according to the true intent and meaning of these presents, and further that he will clear annually one acre of land upon the lot hereby demised and will also within a reasonable time from the date hereof put up and erect upon said lot, a Log House.
And the said John Bazalgette for himself his Heirs Executors, Administrators and Assigns doth hereby covenant promise and agree to and with the said John Francklin (sp) that he the said John Francklin paying the said rent and performing all and every of the said covenants and agreements herein before contained, which on their parts are to be paid kept done and performed shall and may from time to time and at all times during the said term hereby demised peaceably and quietly enter into, have hold, occupy, (illegible) and enjoy all and singular the said premises, without let, molestation eviction or disturbance from or by any person or persons lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof.
