          Sir
          On the otherside You have a letter from
          our T. L informing You of our partnership which Com
          menced the first present
          As his Books are now settling we hope
          in our next to advise You of our having transfer’d
          Your Balance into account with us
          We take this first Opportunity of making
          You the tenders of our best Services & hope for the Con-
          tinuance of Your favours to the old house, flattering
          ourselves we are as Capable of serving our friends as
          others ar least we Can assure You our utmost endea
          vours shall not be wanting nor shall any one act
          with more honour & punctuallity
          At [foot] we trouble you with our respec=
          tive firms desiring You’ll make due note of them
          & that they may meet equal Credit we are in all your
copy Commands
          We are now at the 13 August confirming
proceeding Copy of our last Since which having
Settled the books of our Thomas Lane we now enclose
your account with him Balance in your Favour being
£290-10-1 we have transferd to your Credit in acco[unt] with us
if on Examination you find the Same Free from Error
please to note it in Conformity.           your
