Favours of the of the 10 February 15 & 16 Aprill & 18
May are now before us in answer we have rec’d
the powers you sent us to Sell the decd Mr Cowleys
house & land at Minorca & to Receive the Small
Ballance due to him from Mr Dixon as also a
Balance due rom Mr Bogdani but as Mrs
Cowley never took out any Letters of Adminstr[ation]
or proved any Will as Executrix to her husband
the said powers are of no force nor can our T L
make any use thereof. I cannot learn that Mrs
Cowley is in London but will prevent her taking
Out letters of Administration if possible tho if his only
to Receive that Small matter of Mr Bogdani it will
not be worth while to put you to the charge of a
Caveat as the loss of Minorca hath Vested the
property of Mr Cowleys house there in the French
If Mr Dixon is living & should come to England
will find him out & make a demand of the
£173-6-12 less the £18 paid Mr Bogdani & settle
the account with him. Shall also desire Mr
Bogdani to Stop what money he may have in his
Hands till there is a proper Representative of
Mr Cowleys to Give him a discharge for it this
is all that Can be done in this Concern at present
as anything further Occurrs therein you Shall be duely
