Letter showing that Mons^.r Mangeant had killed Lestage

He also Acquainted the Board y.^t he had Also Rec.^d Letters from thence in Relation to Mons.^r Mangeant's killing of Lestage & about his Vessells being Hipothecated for two thousand livers which he Desired the Board to Consider of and give their Advice what must be done in Relation to both Cases

The Board Agreed That Mons^r Latour and his Vessell might Stay here till y^eSpring & that then it would be time Enough to prepare Answers to both Letters and were of Oppinion that if Governor S^t Ovid's Request Should not be permitted to purchase any of these of these Refreshments &ca in this River

Capt Benet & Ensn Philipps return from the Basin by reason of Bad weather

The Honourable L.^t Governor of y^e Province Acquainted he Board y.^t there having been So much bad Weather y.^t Cap.^t Bennett & Ens.ⁿ Erasmus James Philipp Were thereby Detained in the Bassin and as the Season was now so farr advanced that they Could not (if they did proceed) Returne this Winter, he had therefore Judged it proper to Countermand his former Orders till y^eSpring
Of which the Board Agreed

the preist Gaulin take the oath and is Continued at Menis

Then he Acquainted the Board That being Informed That y^.t old fellow Gaulin notwithstanding of all his Lenity and Good Usage to him, in order, if possible to Reclaime
