     Att A Council held att His Excellency's House in his Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royall on ye 7th Day of Decr at ten a Clock Satturday. A. M. 1730

His Excellys Instructions read.

     His Excellency being arriv'd at Annapolis from Visiting the other Parts of the Province, assembled The Council as above. And acquainted them that he had recd Severall Papers & Instructions from home which he intended now to Lay before ye Board & accordingly orderd ye Secretry to read these that follow vizt ——

     The Treaty of Peace with Spain.

     His Majesties Order to ye Govrs abroad, relating to ye sd treaty

     The King of Spains Cedula

     And His Majesties Orders to his Excellcy to be aiding and assisting to the Receivers of ye Sixpence Ster. per month out of Seamans Wages, towards ye Support of ye Royall Hospitall at Greenwich
Eras: Ja.s Phillipps appointed a member of the Council.

     His Excellency Likewise acquainted ye Board that there not being Councellers enough upon ye Spot to make up a Quorum, he thought proper with their advice to Appoint M.r Eras. Jas Philipps a member thereof who was Sworn accordingly

     His Excellency also acquainted ye Board that ye King haveing graciously Indulg'd ye ffrench Inhabitants [5] with his Royall promise upon their Submission, of continuing them in ye enjoyment of their Religion & Property
