His Excellency acquainted ye Board that Peter Allen an [11] Inhabitant of Minas waited without to know his Excellency pleasure, being accusd by John Cate in his Deposition upon Oath bearing Date 11th March 1730/31 of inveigling the apprentice John Turnoe from his Service at Boston & for Shipping him Clandestinely on Board Cates Vessell bound for Minas, which prov'd ye Originall Cause of ye affront committed by ye Indians, as hath been represented to ye Board by his Excellency on ye Eleventh of March Last the sd Allen desiring to know it might have leave to repair to his habitation at Minas. Agreed & resolv'd. That provided Peter Allen wou'd give Security that he wou'd use his Endeavours to secure ye sd Turnoe in order that he might be sent back to Boston to be deliver'd to his Master, upon that Condition he might have leave to depart Adjourn'd.
