of his having it Near Eight years in Possession (by the time aforesaid) That then Mr. Hamilton by Virtue of his said Pretention thereunto is Prior to any other person now in possession of the same; And that Ensn Handfeilds Case being so far parallel to that of Mr Hamilton and that for his Building Upon and Improving the lower Part of that said Peice of Ground Claim'd by M.r Winniet and Mr Jennings, That then (in Case Neither of them should make Good their Claim as aforesaid) his Pretentions were also preferable to Any other persons to the said lower part
fees Recommended by His Excly.

     Then the Presidt Acquainted the Board that his Excelly had Recommended to their Consideration the Necessary fees to be paid in this Province As also that When the Council do sitt as a Court of Judicature, what fees in such Case might be Judged Necessary in order to be Communicated to his Excellyby next Meeting of the Council

     [20] The Honourable Presidt lay'd before the Board a Power from his Excellency to Samuel Douglass Inhabitant for taking possession of, and improving a spott of Ground Scituate at the North End of the town of Annapolis Royall till a Grant should be made out for the same and is as folld vizt
