     At a Council held by order of the Honourable Lawrence Armstrong Esq.e the L.t Governor of the Province at his own house in His Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royall on Saturday the 11th day of September 1731. A: M.

His honour the L.t Governor of tile Province Acquainted the Board, that, ever since Governor Philipps's Departure, his bad state of health had prevented his Calling them together to Communicate to them the Credentials and Orders he had Recd for the Government of this Province in his Excellencys absence which being presented are as follows viz
 


     An Attested Copy of a Letter from Sir William Strickland Secretary at War to Colo Philipps Dated Whitehall the 16th of January 1730/1
 
Gov. Armstrongs credentials when Received Gov.r Philipps


     A Copy of a Report of the General Officers of the Army in Relation to Governor Philipps
 


     The Secretary of States Letter to L.t Colo Armstrong Dated Whitehall the 15th of March 1730/1
 


     A Copy of His Majestys order for Colo. Philipps to Returne home dated the 15th of March 1730/1 And

     A letter from the Secretary at Warr to Lt Colonel Armstrong [233] Armstrong Dated the 16th of January 1730/1
 





     All which being Read they were Orderd to be Registred amongst the Records of the Province
 


     Then he inform'd the Board that he had several Petitions to lay before them for their oppinion And Advice thereon Vizt
 


     One from Mr William Skene against Mr Weatherby Bombardier for holding and keeping him out of the quiet possession of his house upon file
