Major Mascarine gets liberty to go to Boston and Otho Hamilton Esq.r admitted one of the Council

     Then the Said Major Applyed to His Honour in Council for LIberty to go to Boston in New England And his Request being Granted, His Honr Acquainted ye Board That in order to have a Quorum Conformable to his Majestys Instructions it would be proper to add some Other Gentleman to the Number of Councilors And he having Nominated Lieu.t Otho Hamilton he was Unanimously Chosen Upon which he was sent for, And having thereunto Agreed he took the Appointed Oaths, And his place at the Board Accordingly.

     His Hon.r Acquainted the Board that there were four men come from Cobeaquit who had presented him with petitions And other papers which he Judged proper to lay before them for their Opinion and Advice on the Same, And the four men Vizt Noel Duerong, John Bourg, Lewis Bourg & Joseph Robichau being calld in the Petition of John Bourg in behalf of himself and others Praying that According to the Last [239] Last Will and Testament of Mathew Martain they Might Succeed him As his Heirs in the Seigniory of Cobaquit Was Read as also the said Testament and the Concession of the said Seigniory Made in favour of the said Mathew Martain Deceas'd as was likewise the Petition of the said John Bourg, Joseph Robichau and Lewis Bourg against Reny Martain of this River
