Relating the Marshes of Rusheu forsheu which being read as upon file
 


     And Whereas Said James Michell (as is therein sett forth) hath begun to Repair the Dieks of Said Marsh belonging to him some others the Heirs of Etien Commeau who Refused either to work or to pay any Expense toward Said Repairs which Said' James Mitchell must Necessarily be at in Securing Said Marshes from the Tides
 


     Agreed that the Honourable L.t Governor Summons the Said proprietors of Said Marshes of Rushen forsheu with the Said James Mitchell to Appear at the Board on Munday Next. As also the proprietors of the Other Marshes lying in this River & about the Garrison to give their Reasons for not Complying with his Excelly General Rich.d Philipps's Proclamation, to Appear the Same Day being the first of June Next
 


     At a Council held at the Same place on Munday the first of June 1724.

     Mett According to Appointment And James Michel with the other Propnetors of the Marshes of Rushew forshew having also Appeared According to Order were ask'd why they would Neither work nor be at the Expense of Building up and .Repairing their Dikes They [77] They all Said they would be Aiding & assisting in that Work Except Monsieur Laverdeur & his Wife, who Said they would Would not, and Would Rather Relinquish such part thereof as belonged to themselves, but Could do nothing in Regard to that part which belonged to their Children One of which being at Oanada and the Other at Mines

     James Doucett made also Answer that he would do Up his own part but would not Midle with that belonging to his Mother, Whereupon his Brother Claude promised that he would
