At a Council held at the Hon:ble Liev.t Governors house in His Majties Garrison of Annapolis royal. Upon Wednesday the 4th May 1720.

     The six French Representatiues (who appeared according to ord.) of the Inhabitants of this river being sent for in before the Council, Were demanded to shew [10] to shew their Power from sd Inhabitants, who deliverd in their power in writeing. wch was read
 





     There quallifications as Freeholders were examined, vizt Prudent Robicheaux, Alexander Robicheaux, Nicholas Gautier, Bernard Godets, Charles Landry, & Pier Godete.
 


     Nicholas Gautier not proueing that he was a freeholder of this Province; only a transient person — was excepted against likewise Prudent Robicheux haueing but a slender propriety in ye sd Province was also excepted against.

     Advised and Agreed
     That another order in writing be sent to the French Inhabitants of this river from his Excellency the General to chuse two other persons in the room of s.d Prudent Robicheax & Nicholas Gautier to serue as representatives of the Inhabitants of this river; wth Alexander Robicheaux, Bernard Godet, Charles Landry, & Pier Godet That Paul Mascarene Esq draw up said Order for His Excellency perusal and signing.
